5 Heartwarming Melo Dramas That Will Soothe Your Soul

Ever since I started watching K-dramas, I’ve been obsessed with the cute, romantic and funny storylines. But every once in a while, it’s nice to watch a different kind of drama that makes you think about situations far more intensely than you would during your everyday life.

If you’re in the mood for something on the lighter side but still has all the feels and throws in a bit of action to boot, check out these 5 minimalistic dramas!

1. “Just Between Lovers”

The tragedy is one of the most powerful forces in our lives, but it can also be an inspiration to bring us together. One example is when tragedy causes three people to eventually form a friendship. Ha Moon Soo (Won Jin Ah), Lee Kang Doo (Junho) and Seo Joo Won (Lee Ki Woo) all lose loved ones in a terrible accident when a shopping mall collapses. The unfortunate circumstances bring them together with tragic irony.

Joo Won has become an architectural designer tasked with designing the newer mall in a few years. Moon Soo now works for him as his assistant, while Kang Doo operates machinery on the ground to help build the new mall. With their past love traumas resurfacing and separation no longer keeping them apart, they all must find ways to coexist despite their conflicting natures.

2. “The Light In Your Eyes”

“The light in your eyes” or “Radiant” is a show which will catch your attention with its strong storyline and well-casted vintage feel. For example, Kim Hye Ja (Han Ji Min) wishes to be a news anchor one day, but she suddenly becomes an elderly woman (Kim Hae Ja)!

Hye Ja and Ha Joon meet, and although they come to enjoy one another’s company, Joon Ha grows restless. However, he is eventually calmed by Hye Ja in this unique love story.

3. “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes”

Yoo Jin Kook (Park Sung Woong) and his younger sister Yoo Jin Kang (Jung So Min) were orphaned when they were still reasonably young, so kook became like a guardian to her. He’s become a detective who works on a case involving the death of a student and is dealing with it relatively well, as he rolls up his sleeves to find out what happened before delivering all the details to the officers in charge.

The victim’s boyfriend becomes the primary suspect in her death, but he also captures the attention of Jin Kang on top of everything else. More than ever, Jin Kook worries about his sister being hurt and is charged with handling this sensitive matter.

4. “Come And Hug Me”

Life can be pretty challenging at times, and you may face additional hurdles than the average Joe. You’re probably thinking, “I want someone to walk with me through my difficulties and stand by my side no matter what.”

“Come and Hug Me” is a show that proves innocent people sometimes face unfair trials. The story centres around the characters Ji Soo and Jin Dong, childhood sweethearts. This show tells a touching tale of how two young lovers overcome tragedy together.

5. “A Piece Of Your Mind”

Moon Ha Won is a super-genius computer programmer devoted to helping clients with their various problems. His aptitude for creating complex programs enabled him to better understand himself and his partner, Han Seo Woo, who shares at least one thing in common: Both are somewhat misunderstood. Through these complexities of differences, these two characters find themselves drawn together by fate!

Your melodrama needs will be totally satisfied by this adorable drama with its darker turn in the latter episodes.
