Kang Mina, Kwak Si Yang, and Kwon Soo Hyun will be joining Seo In Guk and Oh Yeon Seo in the upcoming drama named “Minamdang: Case Note”.
“Minamdang: Case Note” is based on a famous web novel of the same name by writer Jung Jae Han serialized on Kakao Page. The upcoming comedy mystery is about the events that unfold when a former profiler transforms into a baksumudang (a male shaman).
News outlets made a report that Seo In Guk and Oh Yeon Seo will be starring in the show. Seo In Guk has been confirmed as Nam Han Joon, a baksudang who used to be a profiler for their fictional department, and Oh Yeon Seo has been confirmed as team leader Jae Hee.
Kang Mina will be transforming into Nam Han Joon’s younger sister, Nam Hye Joon. She is an outstanding member of the National Intelligence Service, who has received awards for her exemplary service and investigations.
Kang Mina is an actress known for captivating audiences’ attention with her ability to fully commit herself to unique characters. Her most recent role was as a hotel receptionist by the name of Yoon Dok-mi in “Hotel Del Luna.” Before that, she played a curious and helpful fairy named Moon Jang-mi in the dramedy drama “Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter.”
With Kwak Si Yang, who will be playing the role of Gong Soo Chul (barista during the day and violent crimes detective at night), his character will find it impossible to leave his signature coffee foam art out of crime-solving.
However, unlike his rugged and rough appearance, Gong Soo Chul has a charming side that’s sure will win you. He is an admirable man of loyalty, with great affection for former profiler and baksumudang Nam Han Joon, which will cause unexpected events to occur in the drama.
Kwon Soo Hyun will be taking the role of prosecutor Cha Do Won of the Western District Prosecutor’s Office. On top of being handsome, rich, and talented in academics and sports, Cha Do Won has become famous for his role as a prosecutor. However, despite outwardly appearing to be friendly to all who encounter him, he hides a secretive side to his persona, making him dangerously unpredictable.
“Minamdang: Case Note” is set to begin filming before the New Year. It will potentially premiere sometime later this year.
