“Yumi’s Cells 2” Confirms June Premiere With Kim Go Eun’s Cheerful New Teaser Poster

Yumi’s Cells coming back! Stay connected for the concrete details regarding the release date.

Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, Yumi’s Cells tells us a story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi—from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action. The titular character is played by Kim Go Eun as Yumi, an ordinary woman who struggles with expressing her feelings. The drama’s first season aired via TVING and tvN in September 2021. It was one of the few Korean dramas to ever get international attention as it combined live-action with 3D animation.

“Yumi’s Cells 2” appeared on the media scene with an adorable pink poster of Yumi and her cells. The poster contained hints at new things in our heroine’s life, such as the reappearance of her love cell and the writer’s cell. Combined with her no longer sporting her trademark bob cut, these changes will leave fans stunned—and wondering what else will change!

Yumi’s vibrant love cell on the right side of the poster represents her passion for doing what she loves. Meanwhile, on the left side is Yumi’s writer cell, which will mature alongside Yumi as she chases her goal of releasing a book. Yumi’s smiling face between her two cells is in the centre, showing fans how much they mean to each other while hinting at further growth in their relationship and the content they make together. The sticky notes read, “Yumi and her cells’ second story,” and “Yumi has returned.”

Yumi will continue growing this season! She’s grown a lot since her relationship with Goo Woong ended. She became more open-minded and took on a new challenge after gaining the courage to do so from her co-worker Yoo Babi (GOT7‘s Jinyoung). The new season will depict the story of Yumi’s love and dreams.

“Yumi’s Cells 2” will air via TVING in June.
