1. THE UNCANNY COUNTER

 | 10 Best K-Dramas of All Time

The group of 5 people, called “Counter,” works at a noodle restaurant by day, and in the dark, they seek out evil spirits who have escaped from the afterlife who go after humans and eat their souls. This K-drama has been marvellously received by the audience. For me, this is the best drama I have ever watched. After watching this, you will be like (Need season 2, please).

The drama was a hit and quickly became the highest-rated programme in OCN’s history. Early in its run, viewers were already predicting for a second season.

The good news, OCN confirmed that the second season will be coming on 21 Jan 2022.

2. SWEET HOME

 | 10 Best K-Dramas of All Time

The story tells that a boy named Cha Hyun-soo is a loner teen who moves into the Green House apartment after the death of his family. Here, he starts witnessing frightening things in the building. In the midst of an apocalypse where they have to protect themselves from zombie monsters who are already hungry.

There is also the fact that those who are attacked by monsters get infected and turn into monsters themselves. So if you wanna watch this, make sure to watch it during day time. This drama is kinda horror and contains a lot of creepy monsters.
After watching this, again, you will be like, I can’t wait to season 2. But no worries, rumours say season 2 will be air in 2022.

3. START-UP

 | 10 Best K-Dramas of All Time

Start-Up is set in the midst of Korea’s Silicon Valley, known as Sandbox (a tech accelerator for entrepreneurs), and tells the story of a woman (Suzy) trying to begin her own startup company and a man (Nam Do-San) with a struggling startup company.

The show represents a group of young individuals who are all eager to start their own businesses. The drama mixes comedy with romance. Viewers rooting for Dal-Mi to end up with Do-San or Ji-pyeong. Personally, I felt bad for  Ji-pyeong.

I personally suggest you watch this drama, who knows, it could change your life too. This drama shows how they struggled and achieved their goals.

4. TAIL OF THE NINE TAILED

 | 10 Best K-Dramas of All Time

The story is about Yeon, a mythical fox known as gumiho (The foxes adopt human appearances but have special powers), and a documentary filmmaker Nam Ji-a who were once a lover in the past.  Circumstances in the present bring the two on a deceptive journey that involves solving Ji-a’s parent’s mysterious deaths.

The ending of the series is a happy one. Even though Yeon passed away at the end, but he comes back in a reincarnated form. So Yeon and Ji-ah live a happy life even though Yeon has a hard time accepting that his brother sacrificed his life to save him.

5. IT’S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY

 | 10 Best K-Dramas of All Time

The story tells about a caretaker at a psychiatric ward, Moon Gang-tae, and a children’s book writer Ko Moon-young. Gang Tae had lived life on the run while taking care of his older brother Sang Tae, who is autistic and suffers from nightmares of the day when their mother was murdered. He is a big fan of Ms. Ko, who is known to be antisocial and has a formidable (Difficult) personality.

Aside from the fact that the two leading pairs are gorgeous, this show will keep viewers more attached to it. But, of course, the ending is more beautiful, They found their destiny, and that’s why I should say it was a Happy Ending.

6. MY HOLO LOVE

 | 10 Best K-Dramas of All Time

I think it could be worth a try if you enjoy plot lines that aren’t the usual lives we live day today. It is definitely one I recommend and definitely will watch again when I need a good sci-fi romance fix. The story says that when Han So-Yeon accidentally comes into possession of a pair of glasses that projects a hologram AI named Holo, he unexpectedly falls in love with him.

She eventually meets the creator of Holo, Ko Nan-do, who looks exactly the same image as Holo (as Nan-do created Holo after himself). But here twist comes Nan-do falls for So-Yeon despite trying to explain his feelings and the idea of love for her. As a result, she accepts his feelings.

But, we all know mostly there are villains in every drama. Before the two can really become a couple, their fight starts with villains after the Holo technology.  Hence, this drama is full of twists and cool plots.

7. THE KING: ETERNAL MONARCH

 | 10 Best K-Dramas of All Time

The King Eternal Monarch is an outstanding Korean drama I have watched till now. Why? Because of the parallel universes, time travel, a handsome king, a strong female detective, tragedy, no-cliché straight forward, and romance. etc., are well performed. I could watch this drama over and over again.

The show tells the story of Lee Gon, a Korean emperor who rules The Kingdom of Corea and discovers a portal opening in the bamboo forest that leads him to a parallel universe—the world where we live today. He meets and falls in love with a detective named Jung Tae-eul in this world, and they have to work together to close this time portal before their two worlds collide and freeze in time forever.

8. ITAEWON CLASS

 | 10 Best K-Dramas of All Time

This drama tells the story of Park Sae-Roy, who opens a restaurant in Itaewon after spending a few years in prison to beat up Jang Geun-won (because park sae-Roy lost his father in a car accident by Jang Geun-won), the son of the Founder of Jangga Group. Park Sae-Roy wants to not only franchise his restaurant DanBam but have it overtake Jangga Group.

His ultimate goal is to get revenge for his father’s death caused by the Jangga family. However, the CEO of Jangga Group is a self-made man of success, and he will not let Park Sae-Roy defeat him. The two engage in a power struggle throughout the entire show filled with cool plot, twists, and turns.

9. Goblin (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God)

 | 10 Best K-Dramas of All Time

It is the fourth highest-rated Korean drama of all time. The fantasy romance is about a modern-day goblin who needs a human bride to end his curse (he is cursed by the Almighty to stay immortal forever). His life then becomes intertwined with a grim reaper who is unable to remember his past.

Apart from the historical and mythological aspects of the story, there is romance, comedy, action, and even an adorable bromance to keep you hooked.

10. Arthdal Chronicles

 | 10 Best K-Dramas of All Time

Most popular Korean dramas are romantic, and full comedy, some of the best shows within the K-drama universe often lean in a different direction. And Arthdal Chronicles, a Netflix epic show about a mythical ancient land and the power struggles that happen within its borders.

Story-wise, Arthdal Chronicles is somewhat different from what you’re used to, but if you’re a fan of fantasy worlds and magic, then you are watching the right one. This fantasy drama is the same as movies like Lord of rings & Harry Potter, which are full of magic and adventure.
