As we make our way out from 2021, more dramas are based on webtoon, which is confirmed to air in 2022. Likewise, there are more and more dramas based on webtoon confirmed for 2021 (stay updated here in the 2021 list).
Here are the dramas based on webtoon confirmed to air in 2022. Many of you must be waiting for these dramas.
1. “Tomorrow”
“Tomorrow” will be coming to life as a drama! This project will have you sympathizing with jobseeking office worker Choi Junwoong, who ends up stuck in an underworld version of the corporate world after an accident.
The drama is about The Special Crises Management Team being created because of increased suicides. They must intervene when a human has a high chance of committing suicide and convert them into wanting to live.
In addition, they take care of people in emotional crises and trauma victims that are most likely to commit suicide. The team’s job is thankless but extremely important; otherwise, more humans might die because they lost hope in life.

The drama will be produced by SuperMoon Pictures. SF9’s RoWoon and actress Kim HeeSun are confirmed for the adaptation, Lee SooHyuk is in talks. The filming would start at the end of 2021, and the drama would air in 2022.
2. “All of Us Are Dead”
The webtoon named “Now at our School” (in Korean “지금 우리 학교는”) by Joo DongKeun has been confirmed to be adapted into a drama. It is a zombie-related webtoon restricted to readers under 18 years old, written in 2009.
The story tells of those isolated in a high school where a zombie virus has spread and those left behind trying to save or somehow escape. The drama will be a Netflix Original Korean drama under “All of Us Are Dead”.

The Production Director of the drama is Lee JaeKyu with Yoon ChanYoung, Park JiHoo, Cho JiHyun, and more were cast.
3. “Island”
Watch out for the Korean TV series “Island” to be aired on OCN soon! The story is adapted from manhwa (manga) and webtoon, whose producers are Yoon InWan and Yang KyungIl.
It tells the story of monsters of Jeju Island who have been looking for opportunities to get rid of the human world for a long time and started targeting a chaebol CEO heiress who just happens to arrive on Jeju Island.

Kim NamGil, Lee DaHee, ASTRO’s Cha EunWoo, and Sung Joon are the leads. The drama will air in the first half of 2022 on OCN.
4. “The Sound of Magic”
Annarasumanara, an upcoming web-toon mastered by Ha IlKwon, will be turned into a drama by Netflix. It follows when Yun Ai misses out on becoming a magician after a particular incident.
However, her life changes when she meets a magician and starts working for him one day. As her desire to become a magician grows stronger with each passing day, they try their very best to achieve her dreams.

5. “See You in My 19th Life”
The South Korean webtoon “See You in My 19th Life” by Lee Hey has been announced to be adapted into a drama next year. It tells the romance of a woman who remembers her past lives and will be reborn to complete her love story.

6. “Bloodhound”
The thriller webtoon “Hunting Dogs” by JungChan will be adapted into the drama “Bloodhound”. It tells the story of three men who get entangled due to debt and try to get out of it.

It will be a Netflix Original drama with 8 episodes. The director of this drama is Kim JuHwan. Woo DoHwan, Lee SangYi, Park SungWoong, and Kim SaeRon are cast.
7. “Delivery Knight”
The top-rated webtoon “Delivery Knight” by Lee YungYun has been announced to be adapted into a Netflix drama. In a dystopian world filled with air pollution, the number of people living on delivery has increased tremendously.

8. “Internal Medicine Director Park”
“Internal Medicine Director Park” will be adapted into a drama! It tells the life of a doctor who dreams of finally being acknowledged, but his life takes an unexpected turn.

Lee SeoJin and Ra MiRan are cast in this drama.
9. “Golden Spoon”
The webtoon named “Golden Spoon” is to be produced too. It tells the adventures of a kid that became a golden spoon.
Golden Spoon means a wealthy family in Korean or a silver spoon for English speakers.

10. “Aquaman”
The webtoon “Aquaman” by Mcqueenstudio will be adapted into a drama. It’s a story about the love and bonds between young people, and hopefully, it will inspire others to overcome their differences.
The series deals with loving yourself no matter how who or what you are.
