Japan is known for it’s manga and world has adapted these manga and many of us don’t even know the series/movies we love are actually based on these manga’s. Japan itself has a lot of series that are based on the manga.

If you want to binge into something new, I would suggest you to go for J-dramas. I have collected few worthy watching J-dramas that are based on manga. 

1. Alice in the Borderland (2020)

A thriller series for a person who is a gamer and loves to watch science fiction. Well, a gamer will never come out of his/her game, so a drama lover should watch it. This is one of the rare shows which you will find predictable although it’s fictional.

The story revolves around a hopeless gamer Arisu who suddenly finds himself in a strange,emptied-out version of Tokyo with his friends. In this strange world, Arisu and his friends have to compete in dangerous games to survive. He meets Usagi, a young woman who is a mountain climber, playing by herself.

They get together and compete in the games while risking their lives and trying to get out of there realizing what it means to live. Yet, the ending is incomplete leaving great suspense. But recently, Netflix gave a swift renewal with season 2 which is expected to air in December 2022.

He meets Itou Shinji and both are tired of their boring lives. They both go to a new school where they try to reinvent their image, and become delinquents! They first collide with each other because of their different ways but soon become best friends.

These two set to various misadventures to become the greatest delinquents in Japan! This series is all Lol, if you can’t laugh much, then it’s better to avoid it. There are a lot of characters who make this show a great comedy.

A BL series, you will love as a Bl series fan. This show doesn’t show diligent romance and I loved the series how they portrayed their love. Kakei Shiro, a 45-year-old man who is a lawyer and works at a small law firm. He is a good cook and always keeps the budget in mind.

He is in love with Yabuki Kenji which is of his same age. He is a hairdresser and they both share a two-bedroom apartment. Tune into this to know why they share different bedrooms. They have been together for 3 years but Shiro has not revealed it to anyone.

When she got to see Kairi Tendo after all these years in a hospital, she saw a totally different person from what she imagined. Kairi Tendo, who is now 31 years old, is commonly referred to as the “Devil” at work. He is a level-headed perfectionist and often makes biting remarks to doctors and nurses. Nanaese Sakura tries her best so that she will receive recognition from Kairi Tendo. She expresses her feelings to him.

Due to her hardwork, she becomes well known at the hospital and picks up the nickname of the “Warrior.” Seeing her persistence, Kairi Tendo becomes attracted to her.

There are plenty of sentimental moments that will tug at your heartstrings. The romance is depicted intimately, taking us through the emotional ups and downs of a gay couple.
