People love reading slice of life webtoons because the characters feel relatable. They face many of the same problems that we do in real life, but these webtoons provide guidance and hope. They also teach us to be grateful for the small things that we often take for granted. It’s no wonder that they’re so popular all around the world!
1. My Giant Nerd Boyfriend
I really enjoy this slice of life webtoon because it is relatable and shows that life and relationships are not perfect. This webtoon has its ups and downs, which is why I like it.
This webtoon is named “My giant nerd boyfriend” for a reason! It’s about a girl dating a foot taller than her, who also happens to be a geek. While this webtoon does an amazing job at unveiling the perks as well as troubles of dating giant boys, it also unveils the film version and real-life version of different situations.

The art in this webtoon will get better as it goes on, so don’t worry about that. But the way Fishball draws her boobs will never stop you from laughing. And it also has some strips about my tiny nerd girlfriend, from the boyfriend’s point of view.
I highly recommend reading this webtoon. It’s an incredible story that you won’t regret taking the time to read.

2. Little Trashmaid
I love this webtoon for its art and adorable characters. They’re what originally drew me in and made me fall in love. Out of all the webtoons on Canvas, this one is by far the most popular, but I don’t get why it hasn’t been turned into an anime yet. It’s such a great story! It’s about a mermaid who lives in modern times.
This webtoon shows how a little mermaid deals with living in an ocean filled with trash from humans. Even though she is surrounded by all of the negative effects of human pollution, she remains naive and optimistic.
This webtoon is designed to raise awareness about the negative impact humans have had on nature, and how the millions of fish and other creatures living underwater are suffering as a result.
We need more webtoons like this to help spread the word about these important issues. Only then will we be able to save these innocent creatures and our planet.

3. Spirit Fingers
I’m so excited for this new webtoon! The story is amazing and it’s one of those that I can’t wait to see updated.
This story is about a girl named Amy Song. Even though she’s an average looking girl, she lacks self confidence which makes it difficult for her to be around other people. Because her parents are irresponsible, she’s had to face a lot of problems in her life.
One day, while out on a walk, she meets a group of people who are doing Croquis. One of the boys in the group, who is quite handsome, asks her to be a model. She agrees, and is charmed by his looks. In the end, he asks her to join their club, called spirit fingers. Hence our story begins.
“Spirit fingers” is an art club where all members gather together every weekend to draw croquis. All members are given a particular color, and by the same color name, nicknames are given. Their color also represents their personalities.
This story is about finding your true color. That means finding yourself and then accepting yourself and finally loving yourself however you are while improving your flaws.
I think what I appreciate most about this story is how I could relate to the protagonist on so many levels. If you’re looking for a relatable and heartwarming story, look no further than Spirit Fingers. Right now, the series is a “daily pass” series on the webtoon app, as it ended 2 years ago. Though, you can read all chapters through many online manga platforms. I was really upset when it ended.

4. Yumi’s cells
This webtoon is about a girl named Yumi and her complicated love life. What makes this webtoon unique is its use of avatars to represent different aspects of the protagonist’s personality. For example, there’s the love cell, the rational cell, the emotional cell, the hunger cell, and the naughty cell. As you can probably guess, each cell has a personality that corresponds to its name. In Yumi’s case, her hunger cell is the biggest and most dominant one, because she really loves food.
I really enjoyed this webtoon because it challenged all the stereotypes that other webtoons and media create about love life. Yumi goes through lots of relationships, which is more realistic than most webtoons, which focus on only one person. This webtoon doesn’t shy away from difficult topics like serious fights, cheating, breaking up, heartbreaks, or falling out of love. It’s more accurate to say that love life is rarely happy and easy. And in real life, people don’t always forgive and forget so easily.
The media creates a lot of illusions, one of which is that first love is true love. So many people get their hearts broken because they believe in this fiction. We need more webtoons and dramas that focus on reality instead of only showing love through rose-colored glasses.
I really loved this webtoon when I first read it. The whole theme impressed me so much that I recommended it to lots of people. If you want to read something unique, I definitely suggest giving this webtoon a try!
Webtoon: Yumi’s cells
You will definitely enjoy this webtoon! I love it! It has a great art style. Snailogy is a slice of life webtoon about author Snailord. In this webtoon, he talks about gender dysphoria, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, and lots of other problems we usually face. No wonder it was so relatable! He had also shared how he usually deals with these problems. Might help you out.
Snailord, aka Aidyn, is a non-binary individual who was assigned male at birth. They identify as both male and female, feeling that they are 50% of each. Just like a snail! Snails are actually hermaphrodites, which means they have both male and female reproductive organs within one individual.
But because our society only recognizes two genders, life has been very difficult for Snailord. He has experienced a lot of anxiety and depression as a result. He shares his life experiences through their art, in the hopes of helping others who might be going through something similar. Some chapters will make you laugh your eyes out, while others will directly hit you in your heart and make you cry.
This webtoon is completed. So you can read it anytime you want! I really wish it hadn’t ended.
6. Small World
This webtoon is about Julian and Robin. Julian is a hot and muscular guy who likes keeping pet names and other corny things. Robin is a cute guy who is overprotective yandere and doesn’t like doing corny things but still ends up doing it for his boyfriends’ sake.
This webtoon shows how different real relationships are from the ones we see in fantasy webtoons, anime, or kdramas. Life is not always perfect and rosy, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth living.
This webtoon is all about LGBTQ representation. If you’re into that kind of thing, then you’ll love it.
Webtoon: Small World
If you’re looking for a fun, relatable webtoon to read, look no further than Murrz!
The author draws her daily life in a funny and relatable way, documenting everything from her relationships to her two cats. With over 500 chapters, this webtoon is perfect for a marathon reading session.
8. Adventure of Gods
This webtoon is about god, Jesus, and Satan. In short, it’s a slice of life about heaven and hell. If you can’t take a joke about religion, I will advise you to not read it.
But besides that, it’s a pretty hilarious comic. There’s relationship between gods and mortals. Another major character is Gabe, a scientist who helps gods, and Ebag, a mad scientist who helps Satan.
This webtoon is a funny look at what would happen if god had drinking problems. He causes all sorts of problems, like nuking dinosaurs, blaming Satan for things he didn’t do, and causing catastrophes. He also tries to set Satan up with boys.
The chapters are short, and the art is average at first but it gets better after a few chapters. Once you start reading this webtoon, you won’t be able to stop.

9. A Budgie’s Life
This is another great slice of life webtoon. Like other webtoons in this genre, it focuses on the everyday life of a non-human protagonist. In this case, we follow the life of Budgie, a bird.
The author brings a pet bird home one day. This cute little bird is bluish-white in color. She names him Tony after her favorite superhero, Iron Man.
So in this webtoon, the author shows her journey with Tony. If you love birds or want to know more about them, you should read this webtoon! You’ll get to know lots of unique and different things about birds from this webtoon, and if you have pet birds then this webtoon will give you good insight into how to take care of them.
But still, remember that the author is not an expert. She has only shared her experiences and struggles of having a pet bird. So if you have serious problems or need more information, consult a vet for your pet.
Webtoon: A Bundgie’s Life
This webtoon is about a dad and his kids. It shows what it is like to be a parent and how much struggle and sacrifice it takes to take care of kids. It also shows how happy kids can make their parents when they do something silly.
This webtoon has put light on other problems like anxiety, depression, finding love, etc.
This webtoon is really funny and honest. I know a comic about parents sounds boring, but it has great comedy. Plus, it’s completed so you can binge read it.
Here are the top 10 best slice of life webtoons, in my opinion. I hope you enjoyed this list.
